Scone welcomes its new minister

Rev Maudeen MacDougall will be inducted as the new minister of Scone and St Martin churches on Wednesday 27 February 2019 at Scone New Church at 7 pm. This will be followed by refreshments in the halls. She will be ‘preached into’ her new charge at Scone Old on Sunday 3 March 2019 at 10.45am This will be followed by refreshments.

PACT Collection goes to four worthy charities

The Carol service collection amounted to over £1400.  After expenses, we are able to give £300 each to CATH, Starter Packs, The Harbour Counselling Service and Mary’s Meals.  We also thank St John’s, Melville Street, for their warm hospitality,  Rev Steven Canon Mulholland for his homily, and Michael Ellacott and Susan Cassidy for the music which enhanced the service. Fun Days at the Methodist Church

The Methodist Church has held two Fun Days to coincide with schools’ in-service days, running from 8.30 – 3.30pm to which they invited local children, with lots of different activities. The first one in November attracted about half a dozen, the most recent one in February had 25; parents and children alike really appreciated this venture.
